Q: I need access to a range
today, is it possible to get a membership card today?
A: We understand that sometimes there is a need for access to
shooting facilities on a short notice, however we do not have the resources
available to have memberships instantly available. The fastest method to
receive your card is through our on-line
registration. Either way, an onsite orientation will be required
before receiving your membership card.
Q: How will I receive my
membership card?
A: Your card will be available after attending one of the
upcoming orientation sessions. After applying for your card, a range
officer will contact you with the dates/times of upcoming orientation sessions.
Once you successfully attend an orientation session, your card will be available
for you.
Q: Can I bring guests or family
members to shoot with me?
A: Your membership card entitles you and your immediate family
(your spouse, and any dependent children) to shoot at the range. Due to
insurance issues, guest memberships are no longer available. No
guests are allowed to shoot at the range. All persons shooting must
display a current membership card, violators will be prosecuted.
Q: Is someone available to show
me around the facilities and/or sign me up on-site?
A: You are welcome to look around at the range prior to
joining, however we do not have the resources to insure that someone is always
available to show you around or to provide memberships on-site. You are
also encouraged to ask any
questions prior to (or after) becoming a member.
Q: Can I get a prorated
membership for the remainder of this year only?
A: Currently we offer two different memberships; the annual
membership that expires December 31st of the current year, and after July 1st we
offer a prorated membership that expires on December 31st of the following year.
We currently do not offer a membership for under one year.
Q: Where can
I pickup a membership application?
A: Membership applications can be picked up at Home of Economy and Cabelas,
or you can
download one from the website.
Membership cards are not available at these locations.
Also an onsite orientation session will be required before you can receive your
card.
Q: When is the range available
to members?
A: The range is open to members 7am to dark, 7 days a
week, except during previously scheduled events. Check the
website and the newsletter for any upcoming events.
Q: What do I need to bring
along to shoot at the range?
A: Obviously a firearm, but you should also have hearing
protection, eye protection, targets, clothespins and ammunition. Also,
don't forget your membership card; your card must be prominently displayed when
you using the facilities.
Q: What's the protocol for
locking the gate?
A: Whenever in doubt, lock it. All members will have the
combination to let themselves in/out. If you are the last one leaving,
definitely lock it behind you. Locking it behind you when you are entering
the range is also a good way to prevent non-members from following you in.
Also, after unlocking the gate, don't forget to scramble the tumblers.
Q: Is the new South Range
available for anyone to use?
A: The new South Range is closed except for scheduled events.
It was designed primarily to offer smaller groups a location to shoot without
the need for shutting down the main range to members, or vice-versa.
Q: Can I rent the range for
private use?
A: Churches, Youth Organizations, Law Enforcement,
Conservationist Clubs, Civic Clubs, Other Shooting Sports Clubs, etc. are all
encouraged to enquire about range rentals. Please
email for rental information.
Q: Can I shoot my rifle on the
25 yard range?
A: The 25 yard (northern most range) is only for handguns and
rimfire rifles, i.e.; .22 cal. Long Rifle, etc.
Q: What can I do to be more
involved in the range and it's events?
A: We are always looking for members that want to help out;
just let us know.
If you have other questions that weren't answered above, please send us an email with your questions.
